It won't help: Attempting to drain the abscess will not solve your problem.. the cause of the abscess will need to be addressed. Periodontal disease? Non-vital nerve? Fractured tooth? You'll need a dentist for this, so make a call for an appointment.

Not recommended: The only way to cure a dental abscess is with dental treatment. The cause of the infection should be removed by your dentist to prevent future complications.

Don't: An abscess is an infection. Simply popping it will not cure it, and may make it worse. If you had a brain infection, or a kidney infection, would you try treating it yourself? I doubt it. See a Pro, see a Dentist for safe effective permanent treatment.
