Could be...: several causes. It may be a viral upper respiratory infection, but it may be bacterial, too, needing antibiotics. If you are a smoker, have asthma or any other lung problems, or have a weak immune system from diabetes or an immune disorder, you should get seen to rule out pneumonia and to check your oxygen level and have your lungs listened to. Otherwise, it is safe to wait a few days and see.
