Blood on stools: Most common cause of blood when wiping is external hemorrhoids, but other more serious problems can also cause bleeding. You doctor can help you. If the blood is on or mixed in with the stool, see your doctor right away. Taking soluble fiber is a great way to soften your stools and reduce problems with hard stool and hemorrhoids. Put 2 tablespoons on cereal or in water every morning.
