Commentary: The foul smells are not specific in any way for MS, but could be auras for partial complex seizures, but more likely represents nasal and sinus problems. Best to have your doctor assess these issues.

Aberrant smell sense: Smell disorders have many causes eg upper respiratory infection, injury, polyps in the nasal cavities, sinus infections, hormonal disturbances, dental problems, exposure to certain chemicals such as insecticides and solvents, some medicines, and radiation due to head and neck cancers. Obesity, diabetes, hypertension, malnutrition, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's and MS. Talk to your PCP
