14 days ago had cortisone into a diffuse thickening of flexor tendon sheath of left ring finger with triggering evident. still have severe pain ?

May need repeat: steroid injection. Hopefully the injection can be done under ultrasound guidance to make sure the steroid goes into the tendon sheath and not elsewhere. Failure of a second injection may indicate need for surgery to fix the trigger finger (usually a problem with the A1 pulley).
