Paresthesias: That's the term for pins & needles; or since you're a Brit, paraesthesias. You haven't stated how long you've had this, or how big the spot is, but if it's gettiing worse, have it checked out. It could be a problem with a nerve root in the spinal canal. As it says on the cover of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Don't Panic! But have it checked out.
