Evaluation needed: Chest discomfort brought on by exertion is of concern and even in your age bracket must be evaluated by an exercise stress test before strenuous exercise is sanctioned. It may turn out to be simply musculoskeletal discomfort but ruling out cardiac causes is important first. See your physician for the evaluation and testing.

Hard to say.: It's hard to say if this is a real medical issue of not. Chest pain with activity could be heart-related, technically speaking, so an ECG and stress test, along with some relevant blood work, should be considered.
