Depending on the: person, 90/40 may be normal, though if you are a healthy 30 year old with no medical issues, that blood pressure is a little low. You may be dehydrated, have a viral illness, anemia, taken some over the counter flu or cold medicine that can cause blood pressure to drop. You may also have some heart, liver, or kidney problems that can cause the same. Go see a healthcare provider for proper exam.
