Maybe (not) . . .: Best to ask this question of prescribing doc. Most Family Doc & Gastroenterologists would probably reach for generic omeprazole or other PPI unless you gave specific reason for sucralfate, eg allergy to PPI. Of note, pantoprazole is not indicated/approved for treatment of ulcers although most PPIs are considered equivalent. But generic omeprazole is approved so ask your doc about this alternative.
