How can you prevent infant from influenza virus ?

Avoidance: The best way to avoid influenza is good hand hygiene and avoidance of exposure to infected individuals. The "flu" shot is very effective as well but not appropriate for infants <6 months old. Discuss with your provider. Avoid touching having people touch your baby around the eyes, nose and mouth.

get yourself and the other family members in contact with the baby flu shots. once the baby is 6 months old and it is flu season again he/she should also get a flu shot.
