See DR: If pain is significant you need attention. Maybe an injury. Maybe gout. Maybe a tight shoe. etc. Is it purple? Swollen? Crackling sensation?

Where in the big toe: the location helps identify the problem…is it by the nail? under the toe? at the joint?

Relativity......: Without knowing a more specific details, it's impossible to tell exactly what is affecting the toe. Typically, when an area has pain, it is for a reason. The pain is trying to restrict the movement of the area. Significant signs of trouble might include things like redness, swelling, heat and pain. Give it some time to recover. You may have to consult your pcp or a Healthtap specialist.
