Little problem: Butrans is an opiate and like every opioid types of medications if used for a prolonged time can cause withdraws , short acting ones more severe, long acting less severe, butrans is a long acting transdermal patch lasting 7 days, considering only a few months use as in your case, discontinuation will case rather mild or no no withdraws.
