Ok: I can just tell you that if your spine truly seperated from your head, you would be dead; essentially because you would be paralyzed and unable to breathe. But you could have very well sustained a serious injury, and if you are concerned and/or in severe pain I would tell you to be seen and thoroughly evaluated.
