It is related: most likely your pain is related to your interstitial cystitis. but if the pain becomes severe or different you better see a doctor for proper evaluation and treatment

Needs to be checked: The pain in abdomen and we don't know what part of abdomen the pain is and as you say it is not in the usual area of pain due to Interstitial Cystitis. Since it is a new kind of pain it should be checked by your Primary Care Doctor to find the cause of the pain and treat appropriately We don't have enough information to even guess what it could be caused by. Need detailed history and Physical Exam
