Pain below my belly button, off to the right which i've had for ages. the doc thought interstitial cystitis but i'm not so sure. could it be ovarian pain?

Yes: It's at the right spot. If it continues make sure you go back to your doctor. Sometimes ovarian cysts can rupture and cause pain. Ultrasound can be helpful.
