See answer: You may have a leaky valve (lower esophageal sphincter) triggered by caffeine, coffee, smoking, etc. However, as you notice this occurs even when not eating/drinking and feeling of a bubble in your chest, there's a possibility of a hiatal hernia. Best to see a GI doctor to get evaluated further.
