Spoke to 80 y.o. at various times past month. she slurred during several calls and forgot if she did something.tia?but odds of always when on phone?

Intervention needed!: When a geriatric patient starts to slur it is time to take the patient to the doctor. The differential diagnosis is large. It could be a symptom of a TIA aka transient ischemic attack or stroke. But it may be as simple as too many medications. Perhaps the patient is drinking alcohol? Maybe she has an infection. So the best advise is take her to a doctor today. Thanks for your concern.
