Intervention needed!: When a geriatric patient starts to slur it is time to take the patient to the doctor. The differential diagnosis is large. It could be a symptom of a TIA aka transient ischemic attack or stroke. But it may be as simple as too many medications. Perhaps the patient is drinking alcohol? Maybe she has an infection.
