Varies: It varies in general based upon the intensity of the workout itself. But in general, the reason cardio workouts have that name is because of their cardiac conditioning benefit. A resistance program can have a cardio benefit as well. One way to evaluate your particular workout is to follow your heart rate with a moniter.
