No: The consistency of stool is not effected by the presence or absence of cancer of the bowel. The diameter may be narrowed and blood may be present but adherence of stool to toilet un related. We have found that the tumors do shed surface protein into the stool that may be of diagnostic importance but again consistency not effected by presence of tumor but possibly diet.
