No: The commonest cause of painless rectal bleeding in a young individual is internal hemorrhoids. You should see your pcp who can do proctodscopy and see if the hemorrhoids are bleeding. He can then decide whether you need colonoscopy or a colorectal surgeon for treatment of bleeding hemorrhoids.

Unlikely. Check w/MD: Much more common to have other causes, such as hemorrhoids, or inflammation. Uncommon causes at age 22 can include polyps, fragile blood vessels, cancer (if strong family history). Recurring bleeding should get checked by your doc.
