Need more info: Ovarian cysts are common and often folks go about their lives not knowing about them with no ill effects. Big cysts can cause problems, though. Women with large pelvic cysts may have risk of rupture when horseback riding, etc. Rupture of a small, benign ov. cyst is usu. no biggie and can be asymptomatic. Some Drs. get follow up ultrasound depending on pt history, U/S appearance and pt. age.
