What amount of calories should a 14 year old boy eat and burn off in a day?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Richard Pollard
29 years experience in Anesthesiology
See below: Roughly 2000 calories. This is incredibly difficult to give a perfect answer to. Some children seem to have perpetual motion machines built into them, while others seem glued to the video screen. Perhaps the best is not to focus on calories, but on weight and growth. Your pediatrician can help you with where your child is on the growth chart.
