My mri it states "bilateral cortical atrophy, advanced for patient's age". i am now 50, and am female. my neurologist states my diagnosis as pick's

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Need Univ. Center: Pick disease should almost entirely affect only the frontal and temporal lobes, the yellow areas in the picture (http://brain.oxfordjournals.org/content/brain/130/4/1159.full.pdf) Saying "atrophy" is not good enough. Pts. need the opinion of at least one University trained Neuroradiologist as well as a Neurologist who specializes in this particular disease. If you have a specific ? please ask
