Acid Reflux: Your symptoms are Classical symptom suggestive of GastroEsophageal acid reflux and when you lie flat at night the acid can come up to the back of throat and make you cough.Pain and hurt in the back can be caused by the cough. Have you had any past symptoms of acid reflux like heartburn at times after eating a big fatty meal, orange juice, alcohol etc.I suggest you get it checked by your Doctor

Dry cough. halatosis: May be reflux. elevate head of bed when sleeping, try ranitidine / prevecid, . Reflux can give you sinusitis as well. Alternatively can be bacterial sinusitis. which would give the bad taste or step. f/u today with doc as may need antibiotics
