Up to you: Let your son just be himself, there is no 'strategy' to talking to psychiatrists other than being open and honest about your feelings. Leave the medication ideas up to the psychiatrist. I have no idea what you need for therapy without knowing what diagnosis your child has other than having tantrums, oxcarbazepine is an anti-epileptic drug !
