Is it ok to take morphine 30 pill wile pregnant i'm 10 weeks i hv bad back pain?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Not unless prescribed by or okayed by your obstetrician. Some opiates (usually methadone or buprenorphine) in cautious doses are safe in pregnancy to treat heroine or other illicit opiate addiction, but they do cross the placenta and can lead to sedation or withdrawal in a developing fetus if not dosed carefully and consistently. Opiates in most situations are unduly risky for pain in pregnancy.
