Prolactin and period: If your prolactin was high, and you were not having periods, lowering the prolactin will usually normalize periods, assuming there was not some other cause. Prolactin inhibits the pituitary release of LH / FSH, which causes the cycling. You could ovulate now, so take pregnancy precautions if this is relevant.
