Why do i get random left arm pain? is it a heart thing, a posture thing, or a sleeping thing? ive gotten my heart checked out 6 times in the er. they did ekg, blood test, and chest x-ray. all of it came back good, im only 23?

This question should be discussed with one's physician because it merits a careful history and physical exam, and a decision of whether or not imaging might be appropriate. Sometimes the cause of arm pain lies with the cervical spine and impingement of a nerve supplying the arm. Other causes must also be considered.

Fortunately, cardiac etiology has been excluded. Some causes to consider are joint abnormalities within the neck or shoulder, nerve compressions in the neck, shoulder, brachial plexus, elbow, and wrist. An orthopedic evaluation might uncover causation.
