Was wanting to know the average time frame that it takes for amoxicillin to take effect. i have been taking three days but pain still severe.

Chemically quick: the drug reaches therapeutic levels in hours, and is excreted within a day. However, it may take much longer to fully treat a problem (and thus reduce pain) For ear infection, a day or two. For Dental infections, 3-5 days. For abdominal pain, up to a week. Too many variables to be very scientific I'm afraid.
