Sertraline effects: I understand your distress. Sertraline is medication for depression. For maintenance of moderate depression, dose of 100mg/day is adequate. Increasing it to 150mg/day may cause abdominal pain, muscle pain and hypertonia. Due to “worst muscle spasms all over”, go to ER for diagnosis of abdominal pain including Pancreatitis or GI Bleeding. See Psychiatrist for Depression and monitoring Sertraline.
