Serotonin receptors: Gastrointestinal side effects are common with the SSRI's, i.e Zoloft, Paxil, (paroxetine) Prozac, etc, because, like the brain, the gastrointestinal tract also is loaded with serotinin receptors. You should see whoever prescribed this for you and discuss alternatives.
