Is prevacid (lansoprazole) or prilosec more likely to cause constipation?

The same: Generally, PPI medications such as Prevacid (lansoprazole) and Prilosec usually do not have any effect whatsoever on bowel movements. In fact, if they do affect them, it is usually more diarrhea than anything. Constipation is an extremely rare complication of either one. I would not worry. Good luck.
