Take as directed: Both adapalene & clindamycin are approved for use to treat acne. There are many options available so work closely w/your Family Doc & Dermatologist. Several ways: Adapalene suppresses the sebaceous glands that nourish the bacteria, and Clindamycin suppresses the bacteria themselves. There's additional minor mechanisms.

Adapalene: Apply a small amount at bedtime to entire area of acne. Not eyelids or lips OK to skip some nights if irritation. Do you have .1%? .3%? With prolonged use it is better tolerated and more effective. Clindamycin may be a waste of money. Benzoyl peroxide OTC is cheaper and more effective. Use a tiny amount in AM. OK to use moisturizer if dry skin. Keep off colored fabrics: will bleach colors..
