Can i wait to have my groin hernia fixed? i've had it for almost a year but not getting bigger or more painful. want to 2 more months for insurance.

Possibly: You can definitely wait as long as new symptoms do not develop such as pain, nausea, and most importantly if hernia can't be easily reduced. Usually smaller the hernia the higher the likelihood of hernia being strangulated which would require medical attention.

Yes, you can wait for another 2+ months as long as you can seek emergent attention with due diligence and vigilance at the time of developing so-called incarcerated inguinal hernia, which denotes irreversible sliding-down into hernia opening of abdominal contents-usually small bowel leading to increasing constant pain, nausea, vomiting, etc. Best wish...
