Will cough worsen after getting a rocephin (ceftriaxone) shot for strep throat? when should i see improvement in my symptoms?

See answer: Cough usually is not a symptom of strep throat. And if it is, it shd not get worse with use of Rocephin (ceftriaxone). However antibiotics may take time to start working. Symptoms may get worse before antibiotics start working. Even tho strep is being suspected it may still be a viral infection. Best wld be to wait a while ( 2-3 days) and if still getting worse have urself re evaluated.
