Under my eyes are bright red and puffy where i had applied undereye strips? like an allergic reaction. taking benadryl, (diphenhydramine) hydrocortisone. how long last?

Depends: This could be a transient irritant reaction or a couple different types of allergic reaction. I agree with oral Benadryl (diphenhydramine) to help itching and keep you from scratching and 1 wk of hydrocortisone for now. A severe allergic contact dermatitis reaction like that with poison ivy could last as long as 3 wks

See a dermatologist: Benadryl (diphenhydramine) will only make you sleepy and accident prone. It will not reduce your itch nor will it help your skin. Be careful that you do not use cortisone for long near your eyes as it may be associated with a small risk of cataracts and glaucoma. We prefer (prescription) calcineurin inhibitors such as tacrolimus ointment for dermatitis near the eyes.
