It is really not: that unusual to have PRE-menstrual cramping/cramping during the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle. They result from an increase in prostaglandin hormones and are associated with endometriosis, ovarian cysts/normal corpus luteum function, fibroids, early pregnancy etc. Check a pregnancy test if/when you miss your period. Treat as you would menstrual cramps: heat, ibuprofen/naproxen, herbal tea:)
