A member asked:

Taking flavoxate for bladder spasms. this is 2 days. should i b able to tell a difference by now? is it normal for spasms to come n go while on meds?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

If you have: overactive bladder, Flavoxate is indicated to help reduce the overactivity by smoothing/calming the "spasms" noted to cause the frequent urination. Even though it works at the muscle fiber level, you should not be able to tell that there is any "spasm". 2 day of medication should start to give some positive change, but I would give it a week solid before you decide whether the medication works.
