A member asked:

Can clearly throat a lot cause throat cancer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Mechanical irritation of the throat is totally unrelated to the development of throat cancer. Previously most throat cancers were caused by poor nourishment from alcohol plus smoking. With the appearance of the HPV virus, this probably is a major implication in the appearance of squamous Ca of the throat.
