A member asked:

Are menthol cigs less likely to cause throat/esophagal cancer? menthol is used in coughdrops so is it less irritating on the throat? or no difference

No difference: The menthol in these cigarettes makes them feel different. However, it does not work like cough drops. In fact, some reports indicate that menthol cigarettes are worse for you than non-menthol. The bottom line is that any cigarette increases your risk for all sorts of cancers and lung diseases.
