Fear of having: a panic attack often becomes the issue. A well trained therapist may prescribe daily panic attacks. Please see one and you will get the support you need. Peace and good health. Fear of not being able to breathe is a common symptom. See your doctor to rule out medical conditions.

Therapy?: Have you yet tried any form of psychotherapy? Typically, the optimal combination of things to treat emotional issues such as panic attacks, which are common is medication (which, on your best day, is supposed to take the edge off symptoms) but the real gruntwork takes place in psychotherapist's consulting room. Breathing deeply is not the only tool.
