Stay the course: 43 year old woman with persistent UTI versus reinfection. The best course of action is to visit your physician again. They will perform a culture and sensitivity test to determine which antibiotic will be most efficacious against this particular organism. If you have fever or chills go to the ER. Stay the course and good luck.
