Need to examine: It is not feasible to say what it is without examining the lesion. However, it is unlikely to be serious and you can wait and watch. You may an over the counter pain pill if it hurts.

Furuncle?: Sounds like it may be a clogged/inflammed hair follicle - furuncle. However, I cannot be sure without seeing it. I would recommed warm compresses and nsaids (ibuprofen or naproxen). See a clinician if your symptoms worsen. Take care.
