Eustachian tube: that is from pulling on your Eustachian tubes which connect from your sinuses above your mouth to your ear and when you yawn or chew gum or swallow you pull on those and there is a pressure change or fluid movement in there which causes that popping noise. Some will try allergy meds or nose sprays like Flonase.

Allergies or TMJ.: This could be an issue with your temporomandibular joints wherein opening the mouth wide or chewing on certain foods challenge the hinge joints of the jaw. Or it could be related to allergic rhinitis or perhaps Eustachian tube dysfunction.
