Eustachian tube: Your eustachian tube is intermittently being plugged and unplugged. The tube can be very sensitive to swelling such as occurs with viral infection, allergy, or just irritation. Not a major problem if only intermittent and not associated with other symptoms.

Could be your TMJ : There is a small cartilage pad in your jaw joint (TMJ) that is called a disc. This could be causing your popping.
