Anecdotal accounts: have shown some efficacy in Enterogermina, though a Google perusal of trials only saw 2 trials, one in 1985 and another in 2007 (ENIGMA) that did not post results though concluded in 2009. Enterogermina uses Bacillus clausii and/or subtilis in re-establishing balance in the colon after a exterminating event (such as diarrhea or antibiotics). Overall some physicians have reported good results.

Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) +probiotic: Most patients who take Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) do not need to take a probiotic. Did you doctor recommend this? Are you having diarrhea? You can take Enterogermina but it may not be necessary unless you have gastrointestinal problems now or in the past with antibiotics.
