Salivary gland stone: I suspect you may be dealing with sialolithiasis: a stone in the submandibular salivary gland or duct. Pain and swelling often increases with eating, although I'm not aware of any association with smoking. Will often respond to conservative Rx. SEE > http://bit.ly/1RH2Sx7 See your physician.
