? new mutation ?: There are hundreds of mutations of the CTFR gene associated with CF. Every so often a new mutation is identified now that carrier detection is available in many labs. I don't know why you would want testing.If you know you have it, it would have come from a parent or started with you.If your parents are not available to test,the search stops. They can't test you to see "how it started"
