What do doctors consider to be a good blood sugar level?

Fasting ~100: A fasting blood sugar of ~100 is usually considered a good level. A better measure of the average blood sugar level is hga1c. It gives an average blood sugar level of the prior 3 months. The american diabetic association and the american heart association recommend that this level to be <6.0%.
