Way too high: This blood sugar is clearly in the diabetes range. Levels of 470 will cause dehydration, fatigue and increased risk of infection. In the long term, this level of glucose may cause nerve, kidney or eye damage.

It is very high: Blood sugar levels over 400 mg are considered very high yet not immediately dangerous. But this will require Insulin to bring it down quickly.

ExtremelyHi>Diabetes: From European research trials, at all average blood sugar levels ≥100 mg/dl, HbA1c ≥5.0%, major cardiovascular disaster rates ↑, dose-related (degree above 5.0%) within 3-5 years for people middle-aged with no history of any medically recognized disease. While Insulin is often promoted for high glucose, it is a bad choice; cutting out all carbs/sugar+GlP-1 & SGLT-2 Inhibitors+metformin work best.
